Family with children will love it
We enjoyed our stay so much! The lodge was not just clean, it was spotlessly clean and full of natural light which made everything feel more alive, especially those mornings on the decking with a cup of coffee. And the water pressure in the shower was phenomenal, trust me it's a rarity in places like this. Plus, renting the E-bikes was a blast. a great way to hit the Downs and soak in the views.
It wasn’t exactly affordable but honestly, it was worth it.

The lodge was spotless and had a cozy outdoor decking area for morning coffee.
The only downside was the cafe closed at 4pm, limiting dining options later in the day.

A larger pan in the kitchen would be helpful.

We had an amazing stay where we loved sipping coffee on the sunny deck and enjoyed the powerful shower after long bike rides. The kids had a blast with the nearby hiking trails and the relaxing atmosphere made it easy to unwind. Just a heads up, the café closes at 5 PM, so plan accordingly! ☕

missingWrote a review on Aug 08kitchen storage
A few minor inconveniences popped up, like the lodge getting quite warm at times, and we could have used a larger pan in the kitchen. The dinner plates proved too big for the dishwasher, leading to some awkward loading. kitchen cupboards lacked storage space for food, pushing us to improvise with limited drawer areas. a larger bread knife would have been handy for easier meal prep. Lastly, it was a bummer that the cafe shut down at 5 PM, especially with such a scenic location that could’ve benefited from evening visitors.
